Nikki Cross to replace Alexa Bliss at Money in the Bank

Nikki Cross has replaced Alexa Bliss in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Alexa Bliss has been suffering from concussion related issue since October last year when she was removed from a tag team match at WWE Evolution show. Ever since, she has mostly worked in a non-wrestling role while only working a few matches like the Royal Rumble match earlier this year. This week at RAW, she was replaced by Nikki Cross in a fatal 4-way promotional match for Money in the Bank.

While the switch was earlier attributed to luggage issues, it became clear with WWE’s announcement that she was removed from the match due to an injury. PWinsider has reported that Bliss is again dealing with concussion issues. She was removed from the Money in the Bank match yesterday and as per new announcement, Nikki Cross will again be her replacement.

Nikki Cross has had odd few months with WWE. Before WrestleMania, WWE aired some vignettes to hype her. She had a funny spot with Shelton Benjamin in the lead-up to Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania this year. But she was not assigned to any brand during Superstar shakeup as the rest of the SaNity were split up in different brands. Last week, WWE listed her for the RAW brand and then she got the major spot this week by winning the fatal 4-way match after replacing Alexa Bliss.

She will now join Naomi, Bayley, Natalya, Mandy Rose, Carmella, Dana Brooke and Ember Moon in the Money in the Bank Ladder match at this Sunday’s show. For more details, news, and updates regarding Money in the Bank 2019 show, you can follow this link.
