Moose will defend the IMPACT World Championship against W Morrissey at No Surrender 2022 event.
The storyline between Moose and Morrissey has been ongoing since October last year. Both men helped each other get their wins against Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards at IMPACT Turning Point event.
The understanding was that Moose will give Morrissey a shot at IMPACT World title. After Moose was pinned by Matt Cardona on the December 2nd episode of IMPACT, Scoot D’Amore announced a three-way title match at Hard to Kill PPV. Moose retained the title by pinning Cardona in that match.
Having not getting pinned, Morrissey kept gunning for a title shot. After defeating the Leaning Tree in a handicap match on January 20 episode of IMPACT, Morrissey once again challenged Moose for a title match. He made it clear that he is not going to stop coming for Moose, and if Moose won’t show his face, he will come to find him backstage.
Later, Scott D’Amore told Morrissey that he will be able to get his hands on Moose at No Surrender.
This is the first match to be announced for No Surrender IMPACT Plus special which will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
