Lio Rush Challenges Hiromu Takahashi for IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match

Lio Rush has expressed his desire for a title shot, challenging Hiromu Takahashi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match.

At the IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2 event, a match was set between Hiromu Takahashi and Mike Bailey against Lio Rush and Trey Miguel. The match ended with Rush delivering a low blow to Takahashi, leading to Rush and Trey Miguel securing the victory.

After the match, Rush took the mic and stated that he had transformed a lot since their previous encounter, went on to challenge Takahashi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title. Rush had also previously issued a challenge to Takahashi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship during the NJPW New Japan Cup Final on March 21st.

Without hesitation, Takahashi accepted Rush’s challenge, but the time and venue were not set for the match. Rush is currently the IMPACT X- Division Champion. Rush has defeated Takahashi once in a non-title match in the Best of the Super Junior 30 event.

Upon hearing the challenge, Bailey expressed dissatisfaction. Mike Bailey has recently claimed victory in the NJPW All-Star Junior USA Tournament and also challenged Takahashi for the title for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title match.
