LA Knight vs AJ Styles Announced for WWE WrestleMania 40
A grudge match is set for WWE WrestleMania 40 between LA Knight and AJ Styles.
The match is long time in making with Styles attacking Knight several times including once during the men’s Elimination Chamber match for #1 contener for World Heavyweight Championship.
The storyline between them started back in December when AJ Styles returned and asked for a Universal title shot against Roman Reigns while LA Knight and Randy Orton were also vying for the same spot. The trio were part of the fatal 4-way title match against Roman at Royal Rumble where Roman retained the title.
The animosity between Styles and Knight increased in the coming days. Styles attacked Knight in the men’s Elimination Chamber match with a steel chair which actually led to his elimination. Styles had since continued with the attacks with the chair, while Knight has been unable to get his hands on Styles.
This week on SmackDown, Knight came out and challenged Styles for a match at WrestleMania 40. Styles once again attacked him from behind with a chair. Later, the match was made official by WWE.
WrestleMania 40 is scheduled over two night on April 6 and April 7 in Philadelphia, PA. Keep tuned in for more news and updates.
