Jon Moxley vs Shawn Spears Announced AEW Boston Show
AEW has announced that the match Jon Moxley vs Shawn Spears will go down at the second TV tapings at Agganis Arena in Boston on 9 October this year.
AEW’s weekly TV show will debut on 2 October on TNT, airing live from Capital One Arena in Washington DC. Then it will move to Agganis Arena in Boston and then to Lucarious Arean in Philadelphia in the later weeks. The tickets for episode 2 and 3 are going live on this Friday, 16 August via aewtix.com.
The Young Bucks earlier announced that they will kick start the AEW Tag Team Tournament from episode 2. They will face Private Party in the first match of the tournament. Now, AEW has also announced that Jon Moxley will also feature in a match. And he will be facing WWE locker room fellow Shawn Spears(Tye Dillinger in WWE).
The announcement can be seen as an attempt to boost ticket sales (not that they need it though). 16 August will bring a head to head ticket sales war between AEW and WWE. Earlier this week, WWE announced that SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary Celebration episode will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles. The tickets sales for that show also go on sale on 16 August, but one hour later than AEW tickets.
