Despite being injured, Moxley persevered through the match. The conclusion saw Fenix secure the victory by pinning Moxley after executing two Fenix Drivers.
The positive update is that Moxley managed to exit the ring unassisted after the match. Dave Meltzer also provided an update, stating that Moxley received a diagnosis of a mild concussion and clarified that neither of the piledrivers caused his injury.
The call for the title change came during the match. The referee was not aware of the audible call and stopped the pinfall count after the first piledriver from Fenix. Fenix had to repeat the spot after which the referee counted for pinfall.
