Cain Velazquez Talks Daniel Cormier’s Interest in AAA
Lucha Libre AAA promotion already has a former UFC Fighter wrestling for them in Cain Velaszque, but now they might also get Daniel Cormier to work under their banner.
It was Cain Velasquez himself who revealed that UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier is interested in working with him in AAA.
On the latest episode of Keepin It 100 podcast with AAA Head Booker Konnan, Velasquez caught him by surprise when revealed how DC was talking about doing a match with him in AAA.
“Daniel Cormier was actually at my house yesterday, him and Luke Rockhold came over. DC talked about doing a match as well, doing something with me in AAA.”

Konnan also expressed his delight at the prospect of doing something with Velasquez and Cormier in future.
Daniel Cormier has already got involved in pro wrestling with WWE. He was the special guest referee at the Fight Pit match at Extreme Rules between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle. However, that was not his first attempt to get into pro wrestling. Kurt Angle also revealed in the past how Cormier was once on the verge of fighting under IMPACT Wrestling banner.
Cain Velasquez returned to the ring earlier this month after getting special permission from Santa Clara County court to appear in AAA event in Tempe, AZ. He teamed up with Blue Demon Jr. and Pagano to defeat Gringo Loco, Sam Adonis & Taurus at AAA’s event at Mullet Arena in Tempe on December 3, 2022.
