Several AEW stars are reportedly interested in signing a deal with WWE.
There have been a lot of WWE stars who went to AEW ever since the inception of this promotion. But, so far, only Cody Rhodes jumped from AEW to WWE.
Now, Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that several AEW stars are waiting to hear from WWE. However, WWE is very leery in contacting anyone because of the MLW lawsuit.
There are previous reports that WWE is interested in singing Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. However, as per Dave Meltzer, there are several other AEW stars who will likely jump the ship and sail with WWE in the near future. But, at present, WWE is not aggressively trying to steal any talent.
WWE has been going through multiple changes ever since Endeavor announced WWE and UFC merger. Also, the new group doesn’t want to be involved in any contract tampering.
WWE is also going through a signing freeze since the start of this year. This led to the promotion missing out on Jay White despite being in a pole position to sign him. However, things seems to be changing lately as they have shown interest in Brian Pillman Jr. and Nick Aldis in this month.
Who according to you will likely jump from AEW to WWE? Tell us in the comments.
