AEW Dynamite August 2: Jericho & Takeshita vs Garcia & Guevara & More Set
AEW has officially announced three matches for the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, including Jack Perry vs Jerry Lynn.
During the July 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, Lynn disrupted Perry’s promotional segment when the FTW champion started speaking negatively about ECW and Taz. Lynn was ready to confront Perry immediately, but Jack Perry decided to retreat, and Jack Perry announced a match against Lynn for the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Chris Jericho will team up with Konosuke Takeshita to face Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara on the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. This week on Dynamite, Don Callis continued his effort to bring Jericho into his stable(or “Family” as he calls it), and asked him to team up with Takeshita.

Jericho was a bit apprehensive about facing Garcia and Guevara, but Callis argued that it would be a good opportunity for them to explore themselves more freely. Later during the show, other members of the Jericho Appreciation Society met Jericho and made their feeling known that Jericho was being selfish.
John Moxley, Trent Baretta, and Penta El Zero Meido will face each other in a triple threat match with the stipulation of an Anything Goes match on the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
During the July 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, BCC (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley), Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Meido), and Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Baretta) faced each other in a three-way match. However, Lucha Bros came out victorious in this match. After the match, the brawl continued, which resulted in the announcement of a triple-threat match between Moxley, Baretta, and Penta El Zero Meido.
August 2, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite will be the 200th episodes of Dynamite series and it will be live from Yuengling Center, Tampa, FL, US. The announced line-up is as below:
- John Moxley vs Trent Baretta vs Penta El Zero Meido – Triple Threat Anything Goes Match
- Jerry Lynn vs Jack Perry
- Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita vs Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara
