AEW Big Business Announced for Boston, Mercedes Mone Debut Expected
AEW has announced “Big Business” Dynamite special for March 13, 2024, to take place in Boston, MA.
AEW President Tony Khan was due to make a big announcement on Dynamite this week. This announcement turned out to be AEW Big Business Special at TD Garden in Boston. The tickets will go on sale on Friday.
AEW also released the poster for the show which featured Bo$$ton written in the background. This is taken as a hint for the arrival of Mercedes Mone(fka Sasha Banks) to AEW.
As per a report on Fightful Select from Fightful and Andrew Zarian, Mercedes has been under contract with AEW since at least early January. As per the report, other debut dates were considered for her debut, but it was finalized weeks ago that she would debut in her hometown Boston.
A women’s grand slam in WWE, Sasha Banks walked out of WWE in May 2022 before being released out of her contract at the end of that year. She made her NJPW debut as Mercedes Mone at Wrestle Kingdom 17 before going to win IWGP Women’s Champion in February 2023.
Mercedes made more appearances for NJPW and Stardom until she got injured at NJPW Resurgence 2023. She was said to be in contact with WWE for return, but the talks broke down in December last year.
The poster for Big Business also features AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm, Adam Copeland and Hangman Adam Page.
