AEW Battle of Belts IX: Bill & Starks vs Le Sex Gods Tag Title Street Fight Set
Big Bill and Ricky Starks will defend their AEW Tag Team titles against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara at AEW Battle of Belts IX event.
During January 6 episode of AEW Collision, there was a backstage interview featuring Bill and Starks. During this interview, Bill announced that he and Stark will defend their title against Jericho and Guevara at Battle of Belts IX event in a street fight match.
Bill and Starks last defended their AEW Tag titles at AEW Full Gear 2023 PPV event in a Four Way ladder match. Additionally, Ricky Starks is also scheduled to face Sammy Guevara in a one-on-one match at January 10 episode of Dynamite.

Guevara and Jericho’s recent fight was at AEW World End 2023 PPV event, where they teamed up with Sting and Darby Allin to secure the victory against Big Bill, Ricky Starks, and The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs).
Jericho already has an AEW Tag Team title shot in his kitty which he earned after he and Kenny Omega defeated the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) at AEW Full Gear 2023 PPV. Jericho and Omega were set for their title match at Worlds End, but unfortunately, Omega was diagnosed with diverticulitis leading to Omega being pulled out of the match.
AEW Battle of Belts IX event is scheduled for January 13, 2024, and it will be live from Chartway Arena, Norfolk, VA, US. This is the only match announced for the event so far.
