AEW Collision’s first episode of 2024 comes on January 6 and brings some big matches with it. We will be here providing results from the show below.

FTR and House of Black will clash in a tag team match in the making for the last few months. These teams will finally clash this week. Sting and Darby Allin will take on the Workhorsemen in another tag team match announced.

Eddie Kington will defend AEW Continental Crown Championship for the first time against Trent Beretta. Adam Copeland will address him losing the TNT title at Worlds End. Tune in below for the results.

RESULTS


Ric Flair was the first person to came out.

Sting & Darby Allin defeated the Workhorsemen(JD Drake & Anthony Henry) in a tag team match. Henry attacked Darby while Drake went to attack Sting. Sting and Flair chopped Drake before the match started. Darby and Sting made short work of Workhorsemen to get a win. Sting finished the match via Stinger drop on Drake. Flair posed with Sting and Darby in the ring.

Eddie Kingston defeated Trent Beretta to retain AEW Continental Crown Championship. Eddie countered a lariat in the final moments to hit an exploder suplex and Northern Lights suplex to get the pinfall.

Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander has a bacstage interview with Tony Schiavone where they say they want to keep rolling as a tag team.

Hook got a promo saying he was coming for AEW World Champion Samoa Joe.

The Undisputed Kingdom(Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeated Bryan Keith & Komander in a Proving Grounds match after hitting double team powerbomb.

Bullet Club Gold were interviewed backstage before The Acclaimed came in. The two teams started arguing. Bowens told everyone to calm down and brought up joining faction with them.

Adam Copeland came out to talk about going to war with Christian Cage and winning and losing TNT title due to Killshot’s title shot being handed to Christian. He brought up how Christian wanted him to earn a title shot. So, he put out an open challenge for anyone to face him. Griff Garrison came out with Maria Kanellis and Kole Carter to accept the challenge.

Adam Copeland defeated Griff Garrison in a singles match via crossface submission.

Ric Flair, Darby Allin and Sting did a promo backstage. Flair hyped Sting’s retirement match before plugging their tag team match next week. Sting went retro and cut a promo in his 90s style. Flair joined in with his “woos”.

Skye Blue defeated Keira Hogan in a singles match via submission.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Andrew Everrett in a singles match.

AEW Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill were backstage where announced tag team title defense against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in a street fight at Battle of the Belts.

FTR(Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) defeated House of Black(Malakai Black & Buddy Mathews) in a tag team match. FTR hit Shatter Machine on Mathews as we returned from the final ad break, but Black broke the pin. Brody King came out but Daniel Garcia hit him with a steel chair. Mathews hit Harwood with a stomp but Harwood got his leg to the ropes to break the pin. Harwood then rolled up Mathews out of nowhere to get the pinfall win.

As Garcia was celebrating with FTR, House of Black attack them and beat them up for a while to close the show.
