Zuckerberg Tears ACL While MMA Training, Undergoes Surgery

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg tore his ACL while training for MMA, which required surgery.

Zuckerberg shared several photos from his hospital bed on Friday afternoon, revealing that he had sustained a significant injury to his left leg. This injury has led to a postponement of his highly anticipated fight against Elon Musk, originally scheduled for early next year.

Recovery from ACL surgery generally requires approximately nine months, with some variation, before one can return to competitive sports.

After learning about his injury, a number of MMA stars, including former UFC champion Henry Cejudo, extended their well wishes to Mark Zuckerberg. During his training, Zuckerberg has built friendships with some of the world’s top fighters, including individuals like Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski.

Certainly, Zuckerberg and Elon Musk engaged in lengthy negotiations for an MMA fight over several months, although the fight never materialized. The breakdown in these negotiations resulted in both billionaires blaming each other for the failure to make the bout happen.

Earlier this week, Musk appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and once again reaffirmed his willingness to fight Zuckerberg, stating that he is ready to do so anytime, anywhere, and any place.
