Alatengheili has come in to replace Montel Jackson to face Chris Gutierrez at October 14’s UFC Vegas 81 event.
Chris Gutierrez was originally set to go up against Montel Jackson at the UFC Vegas 80 event, set to take place on October 7, 2023.
As per a report by Marcel Dorff, Montel Jackson has withdrawn from the fight against Chris Gutierrez. Alatengheili has stepped in as his replacement to face Gutierrez. The specific reason for Jackson’s withdrawal has not been disclosed.

Alatengheili had a recently canceled bout at the UFC Vegas 81 event, where he was originally slated to face Rani Yahya. The fight was canceled due to Yahya’s withdrawal.
Alatengheili is currently on a two-fight winning streak. His most recent victory occurred at UFC 279 event, where he secured a unanimous decision win over Chad Anheliger. This upcoming bout against Chris Gutierrez will mark Alatengheili’s first fight in 2023.
Chris Gutierrez’s four-fight winning streak ended when he faced Pedro Munhoz at UFC on ESPN 44 event via a unanimous decision. This is his first loss since The Ultimate Fighters Season finale in 2018 where he lost to Raoni Barcelos. During his 8 fights unbeaten streak, Gutierrez also had a draw against Cody Durden in August 2020.
UFC Vegas 81 event is scheduled for October 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, featuring a featherweight bout between Edson Barboza and Sodiq Yusuff.
