Two former title challengers in Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier headlined this event. Both men were coming into this bout with a win after bouncing back from a loss.

Cannonier lost the middleweight title bout against Israel Adesanya last year but had since defeated Sean Strickland via a controversial split decision. Marvin Vettori lost to Robert Whittaker at UFC Paris but then defeated Roman Dolidze at UFC 286. Which fighter stacked up the win here?

Arman Tsarukyan faced Joaquim Silva 6 weeks after his bout against Renato Moicano was canceled. Joaquim Silva was coming off a Fight of The Night performance in his last bout against Jesse Ronson. CW Middleweight Champion Christian Leroy Duncan took on Armen Petrosyan on the main card.
