Emily Ducote vs Vanessa Demopoulos women’s strawweight bout was reported to take place on UFC Fight Night on May 18, 2024. This was the first instance of this event being mentioned. Later, it was reported that UFC had filed for an event permit at UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV. It is the 92nd Fight Night event at the location and therefore, also called UFC Vegas 92.
On March 25, 2024, MMA Journalist Larte Vienna reported that a featherweight bout between Edson Barboza and Lerone Murphy would headline UFC event on May 18.
Hailey Cowan and Tamires Vidal were booked to fight on UFC Fight Night event in March 2023. Vidal pulled out of the bout with medical reasons. The bout was later rebooked at this event.
