UFC 300 Main Event: Alex Pereira vs Jamahal Hill Announced
UFC 300 PPV main event is now announced with Alex Pereira facing Jamahal Hill.
UFC President Dana White announced via social media that Pereira will defend UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Hill in the main event of UFC 300.
Alex Pereira won the vacant title at UFC 295 by beating former champion Jiri Prochazka. He is yet to defend the title since then. Pereira moved up to the light heavyweight division after losing middleweight title back to Israel Adesanya in April 2023. He beat Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291 before becoming the double champion at UFC 295.
The light heavyweight title was vacated by Jamahal Hill when he ruptured achilles tendon in July 2023. Hill was on the 4 fights winning streak before the injury beating Jimmy Crute, Johnny Walker, and Thiago Santos, before beating Glover Teixeira to win the vacant light heavyweight title.
