Vincente Luque to Fight Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlantic City

Vincente Luque(22-9-1) has a new opponent for UFC Atlantic City Fight Night event.

The website of Broadwalk Hall, the venue for the event, posted a poster for the event where Luque was pitted against Joaquin Buckley(17-6) in a welterweight bout.

Luque was announced to face Sean Brady earlier in the main event. However, it was later reported that Brady was dealing with an injury and the bout was never signed. Since then, Erin Blanchfield vs Minon Fiorat flyweight bout was elevated as the 5-round main event.

“The Silent Assassin” Luque broke his 2-fights losing streak in his last bout with a win over Rafael Dos Anjos via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC Nashville event. He ended 2021 with 4-fight winning streak, but then lost an important bout against Belal Muhammad. That was followed by a loss to Geoff Neal.

“New Mansa” Buckley is currently on a 2-fight winning streak. He defeated Andre Fialho via second round knockout at UFC Vegas 73 event in May 2023. He followed up with a unanimous decision win over Alex Morono at UFC Vegas 80.

UFC Atlantic City Fight Night is set to take place on March 30, 2024. A flyweight bout between Melissa Gatto and Viktoriia Dudakova was reported for the event earlier this month.
