In November 2023, Gregory Rodrigues announced via social media that he would fight Brad Tavares on an UFC fight card on February 10, 2024. This was the first instance of this event being mentioned in public domain.

UFC President Dana White announced on November 23, 2023, via social media that Jack Hermansson vs Joe Pyfer bout would headline the event.

Dan Ige vs Lerone Murphy featherweight bout was set as the co-main event. However, Murphy pulled out of the bout due to injury. Andre Fili came in as a replacement.

Hyder Amil vs Melsik Baghdasaryan featherweight bout was reported for the show. Baghdasaryan pulled out of the event and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke came in as a replacement. Nuerdanbieke also pulled out of the bout with unknown reason and was replaced by Fernie Garcia.

Robert Bryczek vs Albert Duraev middleweight bout was announced for the show. Duraev pulled out due to unknown reasons one week before the event and Ihor Potieria came in as replacement. Potieria missed weight at the weigh-in event by 1.5 lbs and the bout had to be turned into a catchweight bout.
