UFC 295: Matt Schnell Out, Alessandro Costa Faces Steve Erceg
Alessandro Costa has come in to replace Matt Schnell to face Steve Erceg at UFC 295 PPV event.
According to the report from Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes, Matt Schnell is no longer participating in UFC 295 event, and Alessandro Costa will be stepping in as a short-notice replacement to face Steve Erceg.

Matt Schnell and Steve Erceg were scheduled to face each other in a flyweight bout. The specific reason for Schnell’s withdrawal from the fight has not been disclosed.
Alessandro Costa’s most recent fight took place at UFC Vegas 75, where he secured a victory over Jimmy Flick by KO. Prior to this win, Costa had suffered a defeat at the hands of Amir Albazi, marking the end of his seven-fight winning streak. In total, Costa has competed in two matches in the UFC, with one win and one loss.
Steve Erceg is currently on a remarkable 9-fight winning streak, including a victory in the UFC. He made his UFC debut as a replacement for Schnell, facing David Dvořák at the UFC 289 event, and won the bout via unanimous decision.
UFC 295 event is scheduled to occur on November 11, 2023, at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States. A lightweight bout is also set for the event, where Nazim Sadykhov will face Viacheslav Borshchev.
