UFC 286 Weigh In Results- Title Fight Official, Covington as Back-up
Both main event fighters, Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman made their weight for Welterweight Championship fight for UFC 286 PPV event along with the backup fighter in Colby Covington.
While Covington weighed behind covers, he still managed to weigh at 170 lbs. Usman and Edwards also came in at exactly 170 lbs. Justin Gaethje had to strip down behind the covers to make 156 lbs net weight for his lightweight bout. His opponent Rafael Fiziev was pretty confident as he weighed in with his medallion on at 156 lbs comfortably.
Malcolm Gordon was the only fighter to miss weight as he came in 3.5 lbs above the 126 lbs weight limit for his flyweight bout. His fight against Jake Hadley will continue at catchweight at 129.5 lbs with Gordon paying a fine from his fight purse.
All the debutants – Chris Duncan at 156 lbs, Christian Leroy Duncan at 186 lbs, Jafel Filho at 125.5 lbs, Sam Patterson at 155.5 lbs and Gabriel Santos at 145.5 lbs – were able to make weight. Tune in below for the weigh-in results from UFC 286 event from 5 AM ET onwards.
