Rory MacDonald officially announced his retirement from MMA after suffering a devastating loss at the 2022 PSL Playoffs semi-finals.

Former Bellator champion and former UFC fighter Rory MacDonald lost against Dilano Taylor in the very first round via TKO at the 2022 PFL semi-finals.

After losing the match, Rory MacDonald took to his official Instagram handle to officially announce his retirement from this sport.

He wrote, “My time has come to put the gloves down for good. I’m so thankful for this sport and every person I’ve been able to meet along the way.

MacDonald registered his last win against Brett Cooper earlier this year in May. He won this match via first-round submission. However, he had to face defeat in the last two matches of his career.

In the end, Rory MacDonald expressed his gratitude to UFC, Bellator, and PFL and every single fan who supported him throughout his adventurous career.
