Report: Roman Dolidze vs Michel Pereira Booked for UFC Louisville

Roman Dolidze vs Michel Pereira UFC Louisville

Two ranked middleweight fighters in Roman Dolidze and Michel Pereira are on collision course at UFC Louisville Fight Night event.

The report comes from MMA Reporter Marcel Dorff. The event takes place on June 8, 2024, at KFC Yum Center in Louisville, KY.

Change in Date & Opponent for Dolidze

Roman Dolidze was earlier scheduled to fight Anthony Hernandez at UFC 302. Hernandez pulled out from his bout last week after announcing that he suffered a torn ligament in his hand.

Dolidze is coming into this bout with two back-to-back losses. He lost via unanimous decision to Marvin Vettori at UFC 286 last March before losing a majority decision against Nassourdine Imavov in a fight night headliner in Febraury earlier this year.

3rd Bout in 4 Months for Pereira

It was speculated that UFC was looking to keep Dolidze on UFC 302 card, but it seems Pereira was not able to get ready in such a short time. He has been in action twice already in the past two months. He defeated Michał Oleksiejczuk at UFC 299 in March. He was also in action last weekend at UFC 301 where he finished Ihor Potieria via submission in 54 seconds which also included a back flip.

Pereira is actually on a hot streak with 8 wins in a row. But, only three of those have come in the middleweight division. Pereira has fought at welterweight for the most of his UFC career with a 6-2 record in the division. Three wins in middleweight takes his overall UFC record to 9 wins and 2 losses.
