A lightweight match has been nixed from the UFC Charlotte event this Saturday.

Natan Levy vs Pete Rodriguez lightweight was supposed to take place at the prelims of UFC on ABC 4 on May 13, but now the bout is canceled after Pete Rodriguez failed to make weight.

The bout was canceled even before UFC Charlotte Weigh-Ins. Natan Levy also shared a post on his Instagram handle to announce the same. He also took a shot at Rodriguez for messing up the weight cut. You can check the post below.

Natan Levy also revealed on Twitter that Rodriguez’s side asked for a 158-pound contract followed by a 160-pound contract, but he still stopped cutting weight after 162 pounds.

This is the second time Pete Rodriguez withdrew from a scheduled bout against Natan Levy. These two were scheduled to collide two weeks ago as well but Rodriguez withdrew due to illness. Now, it is highly unlikely that UFC will book the same match again.

UFC Charlotte is set to be headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Jailton Almeida as both of them successfully made their weight for the main event.
