LFA returned with LFA 164 event on August 4, 2023, which was live from El Paso, TX.

The main event featured a vacant flyweight championship bout between Sabina Mazo vs Sandra Lavado. Mazo was unbeaten in 4 LFA bouts before this bout, but she was coming off 3 losses in UFC before being released. Lavado was coming off losses in PFL Contender Series and Dana White Contender Series.

2 welterweight bouts were also on the main card including Jalin Fuller vs Daniel Frunza, and Gláucio Eliziário vs Myktybek Orolbai. The coverage of the event was set to start at 11 PM ET on UFC Fight Pass. There were 4 more bouts on prelims card, but they did not air anywhere.
