James Gallagher to Now Face James Gonzalez at Bellator 298

James Gallagher’s new opponent for Bellator 298 event is now revealed.

According to the report from MMA Fighting, James Gallagher will face James Gonzalez at Bellator 298 event in a bantamweight bout.

James Gonzalez has replaced Cris Lencioni. Lencioni was removed from the fight card after he suffered cardiac arrest earlier this month.

James Gallagher has experienced two consecutive canceled bouts against Leandro Higo and Brett Johns. Gallagher’s most recent fight was in 2021 against Patchy Mix at Bellator 270 event, where he lost by Submission.

The former CFFC champion, James Gonzalez, has won three fights and lost 2 in his five recent bouts. Gonzalez’s recent bout was against Aaron Pico at Bellator 295 event, where he lost by a Unanimous decision.

Bellator 298 event is scheduled for August 11 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The headline event is set between Logan Storley and Brennan Ward for welterweight bout.
