Gamebread Promotions came to Jacksonville, FL, with Bareknuckle MMA event featuring Junior dos Santos and Fabricio Werdum in the main event on September 8, 2023.
Dos Santos was returning to action for the first time since his loss to Yorgan De Castro at Eagle FC 47 in May 2022. He was on a losing streak that dated back to June 2019. Fabricio Werdum returned to action for the first time since 2021 when his fight against Renan Ferreira in PFL #3 in 2021 ended in a no-contest.
The winner of this fight would become the #1 contender for GP Heavyweight title and would challenge the winner between Alan Belcher and Roy Nelson. The event started at 8 PM ET.
