Chris Barnett might be in action in his hometown of Miami, FL, as he takes on Chase Sherman at UFC 287 PPV.
Marcel Dorff of Eurosport reported the heavyweight clash to take place on April 8, 2023. The event is set to take place at Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, FL. The bout can be expected to feature on the early prelims.
Chase Sherman holds one of the worst records for a fighter in UFC after 7 bouts. He was still one of the busiest fighters since his debut in 2020 where he defeated Ike Villanueva. Two losses followed this in 2021 against Andre Arlovski and and Parker Porter.
In 2022, he suffered two more successive losses to Jake Collier and Alexander Romanov before getting a win over Jared Vandera. He was last in action to another loss Waldo Cortes-Acosta in November where he suffered another decision loss.
Chris Barnett is alternating wins and losses since his UFC Debut in 2021. He lost to Ben Rothwell in his promotional debut before beating Gian Villante at UFC 268. He once again suffered a loss to Martin Buday in April 2022. His latest appearance was a win over Jake Collier at UFC 279.
The main card for UFC 287 PPV is already set. Alex Pereira will defend Middleweight title against Israel Adesanya in the main event. The co-main event is another blockbuster welterweight bout between Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.
UFC’s youngest fighter in history, Raul Rosas Jr. will also be on the main card along with Rob Font vs Adrian Yanez and Kevin Holland vs Santiago Ponzinibbio bouts.
