Andre Fili vs Lucas Almeida Set for UFC 296 PPV
A new bout is set for UFC 296 PPV event where Andre Fili will face Lucas Almeida.
Lucas Almeida announced on his Instagram that he and Fili are set to clash in a featherweight bout at the UFC’s December 16 event.
Andre Fili’s most recent bout took place at UFC on ESPN+ 82 event, where he was defeated by Nathaniel Wood via unanimous decision. Before that, Fili secured a split decision victory over Bill Algeo at UFC Vegas 60 event. His UFC record currently stands at 10 wins, 9 losses, and 0 draws.
Lucas Almeida’s scheduled bout at UFC on ESPN+ 84 event against William Gomis was canceled when Almeida withdrew due to injury. Prior to the cancellation, Almeida had faced a defeat by submission from Pat Sabatini at the UFC Vegas 75 event.
UFC 296 event is set for December 16, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. A heavyweight bout is also set for the event, where Shamil Gaziev will face Martin Buday.
