Vergil Ortiz Jr Withdraws Against Stanionis, Schofield-Rhodes to Headline on July 8

There is a slight change in the main event of Golden Boy Promotions July 8 boxing event.
Initially, Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Eimantas Stanionis was supposed to headline the event, but Vergil Ortiz Jr was forced to withdraw from this match due to his health issues ahead of the weigh-in.
As a result, Golden Boy Promotions officially nixed this bout and announced that Floyd Schofield vs Haskell Rhodes would be the new main event on July 8.

It is the third time when Ortiz Jr vs Stanionis was canceled. Their first fight was scheduled for March but Stanionis underwent surgery in January. It was then scheduled for April 29 but got postponed again after Ortiz Jr suffered the recurrence of rhabdomyolysis.
Golden Boy Promotions also released a statement where they support Vergil Ortiz Jr’s decision because for them, nothing is more important than the safety of their fighters.
Schofield and Rhodes already had a face-off to hype the new main event. Are you excited about this new headliner bout on July 8? Who do you think will win?
