Shakur Stevenson vs Edwin De Los Santos Signed For November 16
Shakur Stevenson’s next fight is finally signed for November 16.
ESPN reports that Stevenson and his opponent Edwin De Los Santos has signed to fight for WBC Lightweight Championship. The fight will take place at Las Vegas Strip on November 16, 2 days before Formula 1 debut in Las Vegas.
WBC earlier ordered Shakur Stevenson vs Frank Martin bout for World Lightweight Championship after declaring Devin Haney a champion in recess. Haney is looking for a title fight in super lightweight division.

Top Rank won the purse bid on September 2 for Stevenson-Martin fight. However, Martin refused to sign the fight when presented with the contract.
Edwin De Los Santos, ranked at #6 in WBC’s Lightweight ranking, was the next available opponent. He also holds WBC Continental Americas lightweight title. Santos is currently on a 3-fight winning streak since his first and only loss so far against William Foster III in January 2022. He bounced back by beating Luis Acosta in March that year.
Then, he defeated Jose Valenzuela to win Continental Americas title. De Los Santos was last in action to defend the title against Joseph Adorno.
Shakur Stevenson remains unbeaten in his career and has held the titles in featherweight and super featherweight divisions. He became the WBC title challenger by beating Shuichiro Yoshino in April this year.
