Amanda Serrano vs Heather Hardy II Set for Aug 5 Card in Dallas
The undisputed featherweight title rematch between Amanda Serrano and Heather Hardy is set for August later this year.
It has been officially confirmed that Amanda Serrano vs Heather Hardy II would co-main event the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz card of August 5 in Dallas. ESPN confirmed this news after receiving a report from the officials.
Amanda Serrano defeated Heather Hardy back in 2019 via unanimous decision to win the WBO featherweight title at the Madison Square Garden.
Serrano’s long winning run was stopped by Katie Taylor when these two collided for the undisputed lightweight titles in the first-ever women’s headliner at the Madison Square Garden in April 2022. Amanda managed to rebound from this loss as she defeated Sarah Mahfoud and Erika Cruz in her most recent matches.
On the other hand, Heather Hardy only fought Jessica Camara after losing against Serrano in 2019. She lost her most recent match against Camara in May 2021. Now, she will be making her in-ring return as she challenges for the undisputed featherweight title in August.
If Amanda Serrano retains her titles again, then she will likely eye a rematch with Katie Taylor. Now, it remains to be seen whether Heather Hardy will be able to defeat this time around or not.
