Cody & Dustin Rhodes to Face Young Bucks at Fight For the Fallen
AEW EVP Cody Rhodes and his brother Dustin Rhodes will partner to face the other EVPs of AEW in Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks, at AEW Fight for the Fallen show on 13 July this year.
Last night at AEW Double or Nothing, Cody and Dustin Rhodes squared off in a fantastic and emotional bout. Both of them pulled out all the stops, and despite bleeding heavily, Dustin Rhodes managed to make it through the match with acrobatic and wrestling prowess that was never seen earlier from him. However, it was Cody who came away with the win at the company’s first official show.
However, after the match, Cody took to the mic and said at AEW’s third show, Fight for the Fallen, he and a partner of his choosing would tag to take on the Young Bucks. Cody turned to Dustin and said he did not need a tag team partner or a friend for the big match, but needed his brother. Cody and Dustin then embraced to a huge pop from the crowd.
Fight for the Fallen is set to take place on 13 July 2019 at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida. A part of the tickets sales will go towards a charity for the victims of gun violence. Two other matches are already announced.
