Japanese Star Kushida joins NXT

6 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and 2 times Best of the Super Juniors tournament winner Kushida has signed for NXT.

Kushida left NJWP earlier in the year after being dissatisfied with his direction in the promotion. Kushida worked his last match for NJWP on January 29 against Hiroshi Tanahashi. After the match, he bid his farewell to the crowd and ever since the speculations of him signing with NXT were doing round.

The 35 years old Japanese Star made an appearance at NXT Takeover: New York last night in the crowd and got an emphatic response from the crowd. Earlier in the day, he signed the contract in front of the media with Triple H and NXT General Manager William Regal present alongside him.
