WWE SmackDown September 22, 2023 Preview & Match Card

WWE SmackDown episode of September 22, 2023, is set to continue the build-up for WWE Fastlane 2023 with two big matches.

Iyo Sky vs Asuka

Former tag team partners from Japan will clash as Asuka challenges for WWE Women’s Championship against Iyo Sky. This will be the first time that these two women will clash in a singles match after being part of opposite teams in tag matches. Asuka was the champion entering SummerSlam 2023 but Bianca Belair dethroned her. However, Iyo Sky went on to cash in Money in the Bank briefcase to become the champion. Which one of these former teammates will come out on the top?

LWO vs The Street Profits

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar were discussing a match between them over United States Championship last week when Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits interrupted them. The Street Profits defeated LWO’s Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde fairly easily. The post-match brawl and confrontations led to a tag team match being set up for this week’s SmackDown.

John Cena Appears!

John Cena will be appearing on SmackDown once again this week. Last week, he was part of Grayson Waller effect which later turned into a brawl vs Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa from The Bloodline. What will he do next week.
