WWE Smackdown Results March 1, 2024, Live Updates, Winners
WWE SmackDown episode of March 1, 2024, featured the Rock returning to the brand to decide on his Road to WrestleMania 40 where he was expected to reply to Cody Rhodes’ challenge.
Two matches were announced for the show. Carlito faced Santos Escobar in a street fight. The Kabuki Warriors took on Bayley and Dakota Kai in a tag team match. Tune in below for the results from WWE SmackDown March 1, 2024 episode.
RESULTS & UPDATES
Roman Reigns opened the show and asked the crowd to acknowledge him. He threatened to leave the arena after deeming the response as too quiet. Paul Heyman then reminded him that they had to take care of some business. Heyman announced the arrival of The Rock after the break.
The Rock made his entrance and started his promo saying Cody Rhodes couldn’t have a match against him just because he wants it. Rock then challenged Cody and Seth Rollins for a tag team match against Rock and Roman Reigns. He proposed a stipulation that if Cody & Seth win, the Bloodline would be banned from Roman vs Cody match. However, if The Rock and Roman win, the match would turn into a Bloodline rules match and they could do anything they want. The Rock added that Cody’s story would be ended tragically by him and Roman. Roman stopped him from cooking and told him that he would do anything for their family, but The Rock need to acknowledge him as The Tribal Chief first. The Rock went on to acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief. They posed together to close the segment with The Rock giving the mic to Roman to finish his catchphrase.
Backstage, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory were laughing at Logan Paul hitting Randy Orton with knuckles in Elimination Chamber match. Orton appeared behind them and laughed with them before challenging either one of them to face him tonight. Waller pushed Theory into the match. Theory got upset at Waller for doing so.
Tiffany Stratton defeated Naomi in a singles match. Typical back-and-forth action during the match before Stratton raked Naomi’s eyes and sent her into the ring post. Stratton got the pinfall after Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
The Kabuki Warriors (w/ IYO SKY) vs Bayley and Dakota Kai tag team match ended in a no-contest. Dakota turned on Bayley during the match and joined Damage CTRL into beating Bayley.
Backstage, Damage CTRL were celebrating beating up Bayley when they run into Jade Cargill and kept on staring them. SmackDown Manager Nick Aldis told Cargill that he was ready to see her.
Bron Breakker defeated Xyon Quinn in a singles match. Breakker hit a spear right out of the gate to get the pinfall.
Carlito defeated Santos Escobar in a Street Fight. Carlito ultimately got an upperhand during the match after the break but Legado Del Fantasma’s Berto and Angel attacked. LWO’s Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde came out to counter but Legado took control by sending them into barricade and steel steps. Rey Mysterio came out on crutches. Berto and Angel were sent to attack him, but Rey hit them with crutches. Carlito spit apple in Escobar’s face. Del Toro and Wilde hit dives on Berto and Angel. Rey hit 619 on Escobar before Carlito put him through a table in the ring to get the pinfall.
Nick Aldis was talking to Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne and said he and Adam Pearce had talked about tag team titles at WrestleMania and would make an announcement soon. LA Knight was still looking for AJ Styles when he ran into Aldis. Aldis told Knight that he told Styles to stay home this week. Knight got into a sort of argument with Aldis before Aldis had to move away to deal with other things.
Randy Orton defeated Austin Theory in a singles match. Kevin Owens was on the commentary during the match. Grayson Waller was at ringside during the match. Orton took care of him by dropping him on the announce table. Theory caught Orton with a dive. He tried to hitting a roll-in flatliner but Orton caught him with an RKO to get the pinfall.
Waller attacked Orton after the match and Theory joined in. Owens came into the ring to help out Orton. Owens hit Theory with a stunner. Waller blocked the stunner but Orton hit with RKO instead. Owens and Orton stood tall to close the show.
