Paul Heyman was tasked by Roman Reigns to fix the Royal Rumble fatal 4-way situation. What did he do to fix it? Check below for results and updates from WWE SmackDown’s latest episode.

RESULTS & UPDATES

Grayson Waller made his way out for the match. We cut to a recap of last week how Roman Reigns told Paul Heyman to get his match at Royal Rumble rectified. We returned to see Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso beating up Cameron Grimes. Crew and security come out to separate them. Solo and Jimmy go towards the ring to attack Waller and Austin Theory, but they left the ring quickly.

Paul Heyman got the mic and said Nick Aldis was responsible for these beatdowns as he had put Roman Reigns in a fatal 4-way match. Nick Aldis was out on the apron when Heyman finished up. Aldis said The Bloodline would not spoil anymore matches and would be in the main event instead. Aldis announced Randy Orton, LA Knight & AJ Styles vs Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Heyman got enraged when Aldis did not let him have the mic. When Heyman pointed out that Roman was not at the show, Aldis told them to find the third person for their team. If they could not, it would be a handicapped match.

Humberto & Angel defeated LWO(Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) in a tag team match. Cruz Del Toro took out Humberto with a corkscrew plancha on the floor in the final minute of the match. Carlito attacked Santos Escobar, who was on the commentary. Angel countered a hurricanrana into a pin attempt and held onto the ropes to get the pinfall.

Carmelo Hayes was backstage with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis when Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came in to criticize Aldis about losing control of the show. They got into an argument with Hayes also who reminded them how he had beaten him several times in NXT. When Hayes challenged Waller for the match, he instead put Austin Theory forward to face him.

Paul Heyman went to Carlito to get him to team up with Solo and Jimmy in the main event. Carlito declined.

We saw a recap of Kevin Owens punching Logan Paul with the cast last week. Paul appeared via video and revealed that he met with his lawyer for a lawsuit against Owens. He said that he would make sure Owens wouldn’t be wearing his cast in their United States Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

Tyler Bate met Butch at some coffee house and tried to convince him to keep teaming up as British Strong Style. Bate also asked Butch to remember what his name was going to be.

Bianca Belair defeated Bayley in a singles match after hitting a spear and KOD to get the pinfall.

Kevin Owens responded Logan Paul’s promo from earlier saying that his injured hand wouldn’t keep him from being in the Royal Rumble. He then invited Paul to be a guest on “The Kevin Owens Show” next week.

Bobby Lashley was with The Street Profits in the ring to address Karrion Kross and the Authors of Pain. He claimed that his opponents are in a fight that they can’t win. Paul Ellering appeared on the ramp and pointed up to the big screen where a video from Kross and Scarlett started playing. Kross put Lashley and The Street Profits on notice before introducing AOP and Ellering. Kross then revealed that will now be known as The Final Testament.

Pretty Deadly came to Paul Heyman to offer their services for the main event match. Heyman turned them down saying that he needed only one man, not two.

Paul Heyman met Bobby Lashley backstage and asked him to team up with The Bloodline. Lashley replied that the only time he would get into the ring with The Bloodline would be to challenge Roman Reings for World title.

Austin Theory vs Carmelo Hayes ended in a no-contest after a referee stoppage. Theory hit a springboard Spanish fly from the second rope where Hayes seemed to have landed on his head.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa were backstage with Paul Heyman to know about their tag team partner. Heyman flipped the script and said he had full faith in Solo and Jimmy to get the work done by themselves. Jimmy said he was worried, but changed tune when Solo said he was not worried at all.

Solo and Jimmy attacked Randy Orton while he was making his entrance. Solo hit him with Samoan Spike to drop him. During the commercial, Orton went back.

Randy Orton, LA Knight & AJ Styles defeated The Bloodline(Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikia) via pinfall. The match started as a tag team match with Knight and Styles competing against the Bloodline. In the second half of the match, Styles ducked a superkick from Jimmy which caught Knight on the apron. When Styles was alone, Orton came out to join the match. Orton finished off Jimmy with his signature moves in quick succession to get the pinfall.

After the match, Solo hit Orton from behind. AJ and Knight hit Solo with Phenomenal Forearm and BFT before Orton hit him with RKO. Jimmy was sent into the steel steps and Solo was put through the announce table via a triple powerbomb to end the show.
