WWE RAW Results July 22, 2024- CM Punk, Road to SummerSlam

Welcome to the live results blog from WWE RAW July 22, 2024 episode, which will be live from Green Bay, WI.
CM Punk will return after a gap of one week as he seeks a match against Drew McIntyre. Sonya Deville and Lyra Valkyrie will clash in a singles match. Xavier Woods, Otis and Akira Tozawa will clash with The Final Testament.
The storylines between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, and Damian Priest and Gunther are expected to continue on the road to SummerSlam 2024 PLE. Tune in for the results from WWE RAW July 22, 2024.
RESULTS & UPDATES
We saw the arrival of CM Punk, Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov and Judgment Day.
Gunther & Priest Brawl
Gunther came out to the ring. He got heavily booed and referenced that it was due to his comments last week. Gunther then went on to call Damian Priest “Street Trash” and offered him once more to just hand over the title to him. Priest, World Heavyweight Champion, came out to the ring and punched Gunther. This started a brawl between them. Several officials came out immediately to separate them. They fight through the officials several times as we cut to a break.
They continued to brawl after the break also. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce arrived to the scene to break them up.
Ilja Dragunov vs Bron Breakker – #1 Contender for Intercontinental Championship
Breakker started with a waist lock but Dragunov broke free with back elbows. Breakker beat him up as they fight to the outside. Dragunov hit a running knee as they returned to the ring. They fight to the apron where Breakker blocked a superplex to drop Dragunov on the ring post.
After the break, Dragunov started to fight back. Breakker dropped him with a gutbuster before more strikes were exchanged. Dragunov hit an enzuigiri, a jumping boot, the Constantine Special, a jumping knee and a running boot on Breakker before dropping him to the floor with a powerbomb.
Breakker hit back with an avalanche hurricanrana. Dragunov hit an enzuigiri on the top rope before a superplex and the H-Bomb. He dropped Breakker on the apron with a Death Valley Driver. He jumped off apron when Breakker caught him with a spear. Dragunov’s head hit the apron during that move. The referee checked on Dragunov and called the match.
Winner – Bron Breakker(via referee stoppage)
Rhea Ripley talked to the rest of the Judgment Day(minus Damian Priest) about holding their titles and her attempt to win it back. Dominik cut her off and said he was worried about her and Jey Uso. Rhea said she was just having fun and there was nothing between her and Jey. Rhea walked off. Finn Balor then told Dominik that he had to take care of Jey Uso.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre is with Adam Pearce backstage who is shaking hands with the two referees he refused to apologize last week.
Backstage, Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Xavier Woods bringing in a cake to celebrate Akira Tozawa’s birthday. Otis also started to eat the cake.
Lyra Valkyrie vs Sonya Deville
Sonya hit a knee to start before whipping Lyra’s hair to slam her to the floor. Lyra hit back with shoulder tackles before a trip and a dropkick. Sonya tripped her off the second rope and sent her into the barricade to take us to a break.
Back from the break, Lyra set up Sonya on the top rope to hit a superplex. She followed up with a Northern Lights suplex to get a close two-count. Sonya attempted The Deville’s Advocate but Lyra hit a gut wrench Michinoku Driver. She went to the top when Shayna Baszler distracted the referee while Zoey Stark tripped her. Katana Carter and Kayden Chance attacked Stark and Baszler. Sonya hit The Deville’s Advocate to get the pinfall.
Winner – Sonya Deville
We see footage from another VHS tape from the Wyatt Sicks. We see Nikki Cross turning into Sister Abigail as Uncle Howdy tells her to look at herself. She turned more and more maniac as seconds passed.
CM Punk Called Out Drew McIntyre!
CM Punk came out to the ring and announced that he was cleared by his surgeon last week. He had pink shoes and was ready to get some blood on them. He called out Drew McIntyre. Drew came out to the stage and teased a brawl but then said he did not want it. Punk tried to go after him, but security hold him back immediately. McIntyre pulled out Punk’s bracelet to mock him as Punk was held back by the security.
Adam Pearce came out and tried to calm down Punk by announcing their match at SummerSlam. Pearce then also said if either of them laid hands on the other one, he would be suspended and the match would be cancelled. Pearce also added that he was in need of a special guest referee. Seth Rollins’ music hit and he came out to the ring. Rollins told us that none of the referees wanted to be in between Punk and McIntyre after what they had done to each other in the last few months. So, the person that had stepped up is a visionary, a revolutionary; he is Seth Freakin’ Rollins.
Backstage, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Carlito split up looking for Jey Uso. Liv Morgan caught up Dominik wanting to talk to him. Dominik told her that she had to stop. Balor caught them talking and Liv went away.
Cathy Kelley was interviewing Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn backstage when they heard some commotion. Sami went to see what was happening and found JD and Carlito beating up Jey Uso. Sami fought them off alongside Jey.
Xavier Woods, Otis and Akira Tozawa vs The Final Testament(Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar)
Woods and Kross started the match but Kross immediately tagged out to Rezar. Rezar and Akam work on Woods. Woods hit Akam with a forearm and a kick. Tozawa tagged in to send Akam to the floor. He hit a dropkick and a tope suicida through the ropes. Tozawa ripped off his shirt to take us to the break.
Post-break, Kross was beating up Tozawa. Tozawa sent Kross into the top turnbuckle to tag in Otis. Otis hit clotheslines to all three opponents. Akam ate a splash and The Caterpillar. Kross decked Otis a forearm. Woods tagged in to hit Kross with a dropkick. Tozawa dived on Authors of Pain on the floor. Kross countered Woods in the ring to hit The Final Prayer for the pinfall.
Winner – The Final Testament
Chad Gable came out with The Creed Brothers to meet Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri. Gable offered them to come back into the Alpha Academy as The Wyatt Sicks were hunting down the locker room. Otis brought up how Gable ran away last week. He refused Alpha Academ offer. The Creed Brothers attacked Otis and Tozawa. Otis hit them with a double clothesline before they sent him into the post. Lights went off to indicate the arrival of The Wyatt Sicks. The Creeds came down to the floor anticipating their arrival. But, Uncle Howdy came from behind to drop Gable with Sister Abigail.
Backstage, Rhea Ripley found Judgment Day in dissarray. Finn Balor said they would fight Sami Zayn and Jey Uso tonight, and he would fight Gunther next week. Rhea got mad when she found out that Dominik talked to Liv Morgan once again. She said she was taking Dominik to the ring.
Dominik Snapped
Rhea pulled Dominik into the ring after the break and called out Liv Morgan to take him if she dared. Liv appeared in the crowd and said man like Dominik choose girls like her and not someone like Rhea. Dominik tried to speak but got booed heavily. Liv then asked the crowd to let him speak as she wanted to hear those three magical words. Dominik said he hated Liv. He went on to rant over how Liv had ruined his life. Liv cried and walked off. Rhea licked Dominik’s face and said whispered something to him.
Xavier Woods caught up with Adam Pearce backstage and asked him for a match against Karrion Kross next week. Pearce asked him if he was sure before making it official. Drew McIntyre came in asking Pearce why he blindsided him with the announced of Seth Rollins as special referee. Pearce told him that he could talk more when Rollins would give his referee instructions next week.
Jackie Redmond was backstage with WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to talk about their SmackDown appearance this week. Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler confronted them for a brief argument.
Judgment Day(Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) vs Jey Uso & Sami Zayn
Jey and Balor start with submission holds. Balor hits a shoulder tackle and an elbow. Jey hits a clothesline, a hip attack and an enzuigiri on Balor. Sami came in to hit a double ax handle. Balor brought in JD to hit some kicks before Sami sent him into the top turnbuckle. JD dropped Jey off the apron before Sami sent him to the floor. Balor was also sent to the floor to hit both of them with a moonsault. Dominik tried to interfere but the referee caught him and started yelling at him. Carlito sent Zayn into the post behind the referee.
Post-break, Judgment Day kept Sami cornered for a while. Sami hit back at McDonagh with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Jey got the hot tag against Balor to unleash a series of moves on him and McDonagh. Balor fired off a couple of rights on Jey. Jey hit a superkick as Balor jumped off the top. Sami tagged in to hit an Exploder. Dominik and Carlito ran another distraction which allowed McDonagh to hit a standing Spanish Fly, but Sami kicked out.
Jey got a blind tag in to hit a superkick on McDonagh. Jey and Sami hit 1D on McDonagh, only for Balor to break the pin. Balor hit a Sling Blade on Jey who replied with a superkick. JD dropped Jey’s face on the ropes. Balor hit a shotgun dropkick and Coupe De Grace before McDonagh hit a moonsault. This time Sami broke the pin. Sami pulled Balor to the floor before hitting a Helluva Kick on McDonagh. Sami hit a dive on Balor, Dominik and Carlito on the floor. Jey hit the Usos Splash on McDonagh to get the pinfall.
Winner – Sami Zayn and Jey Uso
After the match, Bron Breakker hit Sami with a spear to close the show.
