WWE RAW March 11: WrestleMania Gauntlet Match, Becky vs Liv Set
WWE has announced three matches for WWE RAW March 11, 2024 episode including a #1 contender match for Intercontinental Championship for WrestleMania 40.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce talked about the prestigious history of Intercontinental Championship and how Gunther’s WrestleMania opponent would be determined. Pearce announced that he had decided to book a gauntlet match to find the title challenger for Gunther.
This gauntlet match will feature Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, JD McDonagh, Bronson Reed and Chad Gable. Among these names, Ricochet, Nakamura, Reed and Gable have previously challenged Gunther for the title unsuccessfully.
Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan singles match is also announced for RAW on March 11. Liv interrupted Becky’s match this week on RAW as she attacked her opponent Nia Jax, causing a disqualification. Becky did the same last week when she attacked Nia during her match against Liv. Later in the show, Becky and Liv had an argument backstage where Becky challenged Liv for a match next week.
Also announced for the show is Women’s Tag Team Championship match. The Kabuki Warriors were on RAW this week to scout Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark as they defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. After the match, Dakota Kai told Baszler and Stark that once the Kabuki Warriors defend the titles at NXT Roadblock, they would defend them against Baszler and Stark next week.
March 11, 2024 edition of WWE RAW will air from Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The announced line-up is as below:
- Sami Zayn vs Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs JD McDonagh vs Bronson Reed vs Chad Gable – Gauntlet Match – Winner Faces Gunther for Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40
- The Kabuki Warriors(Asuka & Kairi Sane)(c) vs Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
- Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan
