WWE NXT Roadblock 2024
WWE NXT Roadblock event is an NXT TV special episode which is scheduled to take place on March 5, 2024. The show will air from WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. It is the third Roadblock series event under NXT while being the fifth overall under WWE banner.

STORYLINE
Asylum Match: On NXT January 16 episode, Joe Gacy was serving as a commentator as Dijak defeated Trey Bearhill. During the match, Gacy headbutted Dijak and then attacked him from behind after the match. Both men started brawling leading to a match getting set up the following week. However, the match didn’t happen as Gacy attacked Dijak before the bell. Both men continued fighting until they were pulled apart by security. Dijak defeated Gacy in a No Disqualification match at Vengeance Day. On February 13 NXT episode, Gacy cost Dijak a match against Carmelo Hayes after appearing from under the ring apron. Dijak attacked Gacy and locked him in a straitjacket. Dijak then locked Gacy in an asylum cell next week. On February 27 NXT episode, Dijak defeated Luca Crusifino. After the match, Gacy ripped the straightjacket and attacked Dijak. They once again brawled to backstage. An Asylum match was then announced for Roadblock between them.
NXT Championship #1 Contender Match: After turning heel at Vengeance Day event, Carmelo Hayes said he had set his sights at NXT Championship against Ilja Dragunov. On February 27 episode of NXT, a contract signing segment was set up with the match between Hayes and Dragunov for the NXT title. Tony D’Angelo also came out and told Dragunov that he was willing to earn a title shot at the NXT Championship. Dragunov accepted Tony’s proposal, following which NXT General Manager Ava set a match between Hayes and Tony at Roadblock to determine a #1 contender to the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver.
Women’s Tag Team Championship: Since December 2023, Tatum Paxley developed an obsession with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria and started helping her in her matches and also in her feud against Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez. On February 20 NXT episode, Valkyria told Paxley that if she stayed backstage during her title match that night, she would give Paxley a surprise. As Paxley obeyed Valkyria, Valkyria revealed on February 27 that they would face The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Roadblock.
NXT Tag Team Championship: 2024 men’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Winner Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin won NXT Tag Team Championship by beating The Family(Tony D’Angelo & Stacks). Several teams laid claim to a title who but it was Chase University (Duke Hudson and Andre Chase) who defeated Axiom and Nathan Frazer to become #1 contenders for the tag titles. The title match was then announced for Roadblock.
Shawn Spears’ Re-debut: In weeks leading to Roadblock, some messages started appearing in vignettes. On February 27 NXT episode, the message appeared once again after Ridge Holland won his match. A hooded men then attacked Holland which was later revealed to be Shawn Spears making his return to WWE.
