Read below to check the complete preview and match card for WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2023.
Bron Breakker vs Grayson Waller
Grayson Waller won the first-ever Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline to earn the right to be the one to challenge Bron Breakker. He made his intentions clear the same night when he attacked Breakker after he defended NXT Championship against Apollo Crews. The following week, Waller hid a steel plate under his shirt to counter Bron’s spear. Despite all this, Breakker appeared at Grayson Waller Effect in a joyous mood and refused to be frustrated by Waller. Will that strategy work in this title match?
Dijak vs Tony D’Angelo
Two weeks back, Dijak stopped Stacks from interfering in Tony D’Angelo’s match against Wes Lee for the NA title. Last week, he defeated Stacks in a singles match which made Tony angry, and he challenged Dijak to a match himself. Dijak accepted, and the North American champion Wes Lee revealed that the winner of this match would get a title shot.
The Creed Brothers vs Indus Sher
Indus Sher recently reunited on the NXT and then began to feud with the Creed Brothers. They think they don’t get enough respect from the NXT Universe, and beating the Creed Brothers will get them the due recognition. Indus Sher also saved Brutus from an assault by JD McDonagh as they wanted to beat them at their best. Will Indus Sher get the recognition they want?
Charlie Dempsey vs Hank Walker
On the December 27 episode of NXT, Drew Gulak was teaching different grappling methods to Hank Walker. But, they got interrupted by Charlie Dempsey, who later challenged Walker to a match. However, the match couldn’t take place as Walker got injured. Now, these two will finally square off at New Year’s Evil 2023.
Women’s #1 Contender Battle Royal
Last week, Gigi Dolin & Jace Jayne were telling the fans this will be their year. However, they were interrupted by Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, Nikita Lyons, and other women from the division. It led to a brawl before NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez announced a 20-women battle royal. The winner of this match will get a title match against Perez at NXT Vengeance Day.
