NXT Announces Great American Bash 2021 Event
NXT has announced this year’s Great American Bash event for 6 July 2021.
NXT brought back the Great American Bash event for two nights on 1 July 2020 and 8 July 2020. The shows went against AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest event. Great American Bash defeated Fyter Fest in overall viewership on both nights, which were rare wins for NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars.
Last year’s event saw Keith Lee defeating Adam Cole to become the NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion on night 2. Night 1 had NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai defeated Sasha Banks in the main event.
NXT made the announcement of the return of Great American Bash during last night’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House PPV. No matches are confirmed for the Tuesday special show as of now.
