Triple Threat Tag Team Title Match Announced for Backlash 2020

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs The IIconics Women's Tag Team Championship at Backlash 2020

A triple threat tag team match is announced for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship title at Backlash 2020. The match was announced on Monday afternoon with Sasha Banks and Bayley set to defend the title against The IIconics and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross.

The triple threat affair was expected for sometime now but the dynamics of the match have changed in the last few days.

Earlier, The IIconics were feuding with then champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, and even defeated them in a non-title match on RAW. A title match then followed between the two teams but it ended in a Disqualification after Peyton Royce attacked her opponents when she was not the legal woman in the match.

Later, Sasha Banks and Bayley also started the feud with Bliss and Cross, leading to a title match at SmackDown this past Friday. With the story developing towards the triple threat match at Backlash, it was shocking to see The Boss n’ Hug Connection winning the titles on SmackDown.

A total of 7 matches are now announced for WWE Backlash 2020 PPV till now. More details and the latest updates about the event can be found below:
