Will Ospreay is reportedly drawing attention from both AEW and WWE as he nears free agency.

Will Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is nearing its end, and he’s poised to become a free agent in February. This has sparked interest from major wrestling companies competing for his signature.

A recent report confirms that Will Ospreay has hired Barry Bloom as his agent in preparation for his upcoming free agency in 2024.

Dave Meltzer wrote in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Will Ospreay is a highly sought-after talent, with both AEW and WWE showing interest in his services. AEW is a strong contender, but WWE is also exploring the possibility of signing him.

Will Ospreay potentially joining AEW seems likely due to his history of wrestling numerous matches for the company. His recent appearance was at the AEW WrestleDream 2023 PPV, where he, Konosuke Takeshita, and Sammy Guevara secured a victory over Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi.

However, Ospreay himself has not ruled out the possibility of signing with WWE or even IMPACT Wrestling. Will Ospreay’s latest match took place at the IMPACT Bound for Glory Fallout 2023 tapings, where he emerged victorious against Josh Alexander.

February marks the end of Will Ospreay’s seven-year association with New Japan Pro Wrestling. During his tenure, he secured several prestigious titles, including the IWGP World Heavyweight, Junior Heavyweight, and NEVER Openweight Championships.
