Vince McMahon officially stepped down as CEO & Chairman of WWE at the age of 77. Furthermore, Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon were named Co-CEOs.
The wrestling veteran also took to his Twitter handle to announce this news. He wrote that at age 77, he thinks it’s time for him to retire. He thanked the WWE Universe and then used his “Then.Now.Forever.Together” phrase.
Business Wire posted the entire statement of Vince McMahon in which he expressed his gratitude to everyone including the fans for allowing him into their homes every week. He also assured that WWE would continue to entertain as the company is now in the capable hands of Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon.
Vince McMahon was in charge of WWE for more than 40 years. On June 17, he stepped back from the position of CEO & Chairman of WWE after it has been reported that WWE is investigating a secret $3 Million settlement between Vince McMahon and a former WWE employee.
