NJPW has announced two matches for NJPW Power Struggle 2023 event, including IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match and NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship match.

Hiromu Takahashi is set to put his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship on the line in a match against Taiji Ishimori at NJPW Power Struggle 2023 event.

Following a successful title defense at Destruction in Ryogoku in a chaotic three-way match, Takahashi was unexpectedly attacked by Ishimori. This marked Ishimori’s surprising return after suffering a neck injury during a previous bout with Time Bomb in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

Ishimori was the previous IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and lost it to Takahashi in a fatal 4-way match at Wrestle Kingdom 17 night 1.

Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii will defend their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team title against TMDK’s Zack Sabre Jr., Shane Haste, and Mikey Nicholls.

At the NJPW Destruction In Ryogoku 2023 event, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii successfully retained their title by defeating The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) and Josh Alexander.

NJPW Power Struggle 2023 event is scheduled for November 4, 2023, and it will be live from Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka. IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Sanada is also set for the event where he and Yuya Uemura will face Yota Tsuji and Tetsuya Naito. The event will also feature the finals of Super Junior Tag League final match.
