Stephaine McMahon has resigned from her position as the co-CEO of WWE as Vince McMahon Jr. has taken up the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Stephaine, daughter of Vince McMahon Jr., has been working as the co-CEO since June 2022 along with Nick Khan. Khan will continue to be the CEO, the company has revealed.

Prior to taking up the role of co-CEO, Stephaine was on leave of absence from May 2022. The reason provided at the time was that Stephaine wanted to take time off to focus on family. She returned from absence and took up the role of interim Chairwoman and co-CEO of the company when Vince McMahon resigned amid “Hush Money” investigations.

Stephaine then became the Chairwoman of the Board when Vince took retirement from WWE. Vince returned to the board last Friday after threatening to not approve of a sale or upcoming TV rights unless he is brought back to the board.

Vince also brought along 2 new directors with him to the board using his position as the majority shareholder.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Stephaine said that she will cheer the company from the other side of the business, and that the company is in good hands with the return of Vince as Executive Chairman, Nick Khan as the CEO and Triple H being the Head of Creative.
