The recent wave of WWE releases was quite unexpected for some superstars where some got their wishes fulfilled. During this budget cut, WWE let go of a total of 18 superstars and three among them have already asked for their release from the company.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, and Zayda Ramier have already asked for their release. However, their requests weren’t granted by WWE as they already planned to include them in the cut.

Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik were a part of a faction named Lucha House Party. Kalisto also used to be a part of this faction. Kalisto also asked for his release earlier and then he was released by the company on April 15, 2021. Now, the same happened with his former tag-team partners.

On the other hand, Zayda Ramier was an incredibly talented wrestler who was founded by Booker T. She had a great time in NXT before getting released by the company.

The recent cut by WWE was one of the most shocking ones as it included names like Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Mia Yim, and Nia Jax. It was really heartbreaking to see these superstars losing their jobs. But the fans are excited by the fact they get to see these superstars on the independent circuit or in other promotions.
