Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair Rematch Set For WWE SummerSlam 2021
Sasha Banks is all set to face the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Bianca Beliar for the title at WWE SummerSlam 2021.
It was heavily rumored that Sasha Banks would return to challenge Bianca Belair at SummerSlam ever since the SummerSlam card started shaping up.
Sasha Banks returned to WWE SmackDown last week and swerved the fans by saving Bianca from an attack from Carmella and Zelina Vega. Later that night, Sasha teamed up with Bianca and won the match against Carmella and Vega. This was followed by Sasha backstabbing Bianca and turning heel on her.
This week, Sasha opened SmackDown and said she has returned to take back her spotlight. She challenged Bianca for a title match at SummerSlam 2021. Bianca also appeared and accepted the challenge right away.
Earlier, The Boss dropped the belt to Bianca Belair in a banger match at WrestleMania 37 Night 1 main event. The match was also awarded ESPYs WWE Moment of the Year and was rated pretty highly by critics and fans alike. Bianca set up the title match on that night by winning the women’s Royal Rumble match.
Now, these two forces will collide again at Summerslam. But this time the roles have changed for Sasha and Bianca. Previously, Sasha was the champion and now she is the challenger. It will be interesting to see if WWE decides to take away the title from Bianca, who has had a good title reign so far despite the lack of challengers for her throne.
