Roman Reings vs Corbin Steel Cage Match Set For Super Showdown
Roman Reigns and King Baron Corbin will be involved in a match at the third straight WWE PPV as they will face off in a Steel cage match at WWE Super ShowDown 2020.
This week at SmackDown, Baron Corbin got agitated when the footage of him covered in the dog food was shown from last week’s episode. He attacked the production crew for airing that footage. Later, he cut a promo claiming that Roman Reigns always need help from the Usos to get defeat him and challenged Roman for another match.
Corbin then got involved with a fan and spilled some drinks over him. Roman Reigns also came out to give a beating to Corbin. After Corbin ran off, Roman took Corbin’s challenge and that they will face-off in a Steel Cage match at WWE Super ShowDown 2020.
This is the fourth match announced for WWE Super ShowDown 2020 event. It is WWE’s first international PPV for the year 2020, taking place at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The matches are as below:
- Brock Lesnar(c) vs Ricochet – WWE Championship Match
- The Fiend Bray Wyatt(c) vs Goldberg – WWE Universal Championship Match
- New Day(c) vs The Miz & John Morrison – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
- Roman Reigns vs King Baron Corbin – Steel Cage Match
The feud between King Corbin and Roman Reigns started before Survivor Series. Corbin defeated Roman in the singles match at SmackDown in Manchester, England in November. Later, they faced off at WWE TLC 2019 in a TLC match, where Corbin was able to defeat Roman. On both these occasions, Corbin got help from the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and The Revival.
On the New Year’s edition of SmackDown, The Usos returned to save Roman from another group beating. Roman and Corbin would face-off at WWE Royal Rumble 2020 also in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The Usos, Roode and Ziggler, all got involved in the match before Roman won the match.
Last week, Roman & The Usos faced Corbin, Ziggler and Roode in a 6 men tag match with the stipulation that the loser will eat dog food. Roman & The Usos won the match and later covered Corbin with dog food.
